Our Interventions

Climate Action
The climate crisis relentlessly affects the lives and livelihoods of millions globally, with Africa bearing a significant burden. Women and girls, in all their diversity, face disproportionate challenges as a result of this crisis. Despite these hardships, their voices are often silenced, their experiences overlooked, and their needs unmet. Amidst these intersecting crises, women and youth are not passive victims. They are coming together, safeguarding and passing on indigenous knowledge, and pioneering efforts to protect the environment, combat climate change, and challenge systems of inequality. Youth and women are resolute in their belief that the continent’s climate narrative must change

Our approach integrates climate leadership, feminist values, and inclusive governance, empowering participants to address local challenges with bold, informed, and compassionate solutions. We believe that when women and youth are given the opportunity to lead, they bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that are essential for building just, resilient, and equitable communities.
Whether it’s leading environmental campaigns, participating in decision-making forums, or advocating for gender equity and climate justice, our youth and women leaders are at the forefront of creating a better tomorrow for everyone.
Supporting Mothers & Caregivers Through On-site Daycare
At BECI, we understand that effective learning requires focus and that’s especially challenging for parents of young children. To ensure that women and youth caregivers can fully participate in our programs, we provide on-site daycare services for their children during training sessions and workshops.
This thoughtful support allows our participants, particularly mothers, to engage in leadership training and skill-building without worry or distraction. By offering a safe, nurturing environment for their children, we create a space where learning is truly accessible, inclusive, and empowering for all.
Because when we care for the whole person and their family we create stronger, more resilient communities.
